-
Fill out our Volunteer Registration Form
Complete our Volunteer Registration Form to be added to our volunteer database and newsletter list. This helps us keep you informed about current and upcoming volunteer opportunities.
-
Explore local volunteer opportunities
Visit the Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities tab on our website to view current volunteer opportunities throughout Hancock County. Opportunities are divided into categories so it's easy to find a need that suits your talents, goals and availability.
-
Find the right fit
Look for opportunities labeled "Family Friendly" or "Youth Volunteers" to help determine which options would be best for families or young volunteers. Look for categories or individual opportunities that match your interests, schedule, age group, or a specific agency or clientele you would like to serve.
-
Sign up or reach out
Once you've found an opportunity that appeals to you, follow the instructions in this listing. Some opportunities allow you to sign up online, while others may ask you to call or email the agency directly.
-
Get the details
Every agency handles volunteers differently. Once you're all signed up, you can expect the organization to share important details such as where to go, what to wear, what to bring with you and what to expect for the duration of your project. Don't be afraid to reach out with any additional questions you might have.
-
Show up and make a difference!
Arrive with an open mind, an open heart, and ready to help! Whether you volunteer with this organization just once or if you continue serving, know that your time makes a meaningful impact in our community.
