First-Time Volunteers

New to Volunteering?

Volunteers United makes finding a volunteer opportunity easy in Findlay and Hancock County. As a hub for volunteering in the community, we are always adding to our lists of available service opportunities for individuals and groups. Whether you are interested in health care, preparing food for the homeless, office tasks, being a mentor, cleaning up parks, serving on a board or committee, helping with special events, or responding in a crisis (and more) we can connect you with the right opportunities that fit your gifts and your goals.

As you begin your volunteering journey, we’d like to get you started with a fulfilling volunteering opportunity. When you register, a staff member will connect with you to learn your story and suggest personalized projects. Thank you for your interest in volunteering and welcome to Volunteers United.

Search for specific volunteer experiences by visiting our Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities or Remote Volunteer Projects (links) pages. Try one specific project or a variety to learn what you really like.

Volunteers United also offers Youth Volunteers opportunities specifically tailored for middle school, high school and college students seeking service hours for clubs or organizations.

We can organize volunteer opportunities for groups seeking Corporate or Group Service for team building or to fulfill corporate social responsibility goals.

If you’ve always wondered what it would be like to serve on a board or committee, check out our Board Service Program.
