Days of Caring

Welcome to Days of Caring 2020 – Celebrating 26 Years!

September 21-25

Project Request and Volunteer Registration Deadline: August 15, 2020

Days of Caring is an annual week-long service event typically in May where individuals and employees of area corporations and small businesses lend a hand to local organizations. Those agencies in need of help submit projects, volunteer teams register to help, and the United Way of Hancock County matches up the two groups. Volunteers then head out in force to complete projects such as landscaping, organizing, painting, planning an event, cleaning, construction – whatever is needed!

(*No projects can be accepted that cannot allow for proper social distancing and safety protocols to be established.*)

Because Days of Caring had to be postponed during the governor’s stay-at-home order for the pandemic, our 2020 event will work differently. We will offer agencies the opportunity to submit urgent projects for completion over the summer, AND projects that can wait for completion during our Days of Caring event during the week of Sept. 21-25. We are in need of volunteers who can help during the summer and/or fall!
