Findlay Young Professionals Present "A View from the Top" with Marathon Executive

The Findlay Young Professionals will present “A View from the Top” featuring Don Templin, senior vice president and chief financial officer of Marathon Petroleum Corporation. The event will be held on March 5 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Alexandria’s, 132 E. Crawford St. The event is free and open to members and non-members. Templin is a graduate of Grove City College (Pa.) and is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Templin began his career with Marathon Petroleum Corporation in June 2011. Prior to this, he was the managing partner of the Audit Practice for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee. He has more than 25 years of experience providing auditing and advisory services to a wide variety of private, public and multinational companies. He formerly served as the Managing Partner of PwC’s practice in Kazakhstan and also participated in the International Service Program in PwC’s World Office in London, England.

Templin joined PwC in the Pittsburgh office in 1984 where he served a number of public manufacturing clients. He participated in a tour in London, England from 1989 - 1991 where his primary responsibility was to support developing PwC practices principally in West Africa, the Caribbean and Taiwan. Templin returned to the Pittsburgh office in 1991 and served a number of public companies primarily in the manufacturing and energy industries. He transferred to Kazakhstan in 1996 where he led the PwC practice for two years; then returning to Pittsburgh in 1998 and was the partner on a number of public companies primarily in the manufacturing and energy industries. In 2005, Templin transferred to Baltimore to assume the partner role on a large utility client before assuming his previous position at Atlanta in August 2009 as the Market Assurance Leader.

Templin is active in a number of charitable organizations including United Way of Hancock County. 

Findlay Young Professionals is a group open to those community members in the Greater Findlay area who are between the ages of 21 - 45. The purpose of the group is to connect, serve and lead the community. Cost to join Findlay Young Professionals is $50 per year.
