Local nonprofit staffs are resting easier after 220 volunteers participating in United Way of Hancock County’s (UWHC) Days of Caring completed work left undone by the pandemic. And the week left a lasting smile on many volunteers’ faces.

Over the course of its 26-year history, the United States Post Office’s (USPS) Letter Carrier’s Stamp Out Hunger food drive has collected 1.5 billion pounds of food, with the assistance of the postal service delivery network that spans the nation, including Puerto Rico, Guam and U.S. Virgin Islands.
