The United Way of Hancock County will hold its 60th annual meeting on Thursday, Apr. 16, at the Hilton Garden Inn. The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a Gaslight Society reception for donors of $750 or more annually. The reception will be sponsored by the Needler Family. The annual meeting dinner will begin at 6:30 with a social reception, meal and presentations.
Two community members will be honored during the event. Carly Smith will receive the Secor Scholar Award, a $2,000 renewable scholarship honoring Steven and Doris Secor. Doug Hiegel will be presented with the Jeri Bjorling Memorial Distinguished Volunteer Award.
