This round robin-style tourn ament will be held from 4:30-8 p.m. Thursday\, Sep t. 10\, at Findlay&rsquo\;s Riverside Park. Partic ipants must be 18 or older and the tournament will feature men&rsquo\;s\, women&rsquo\;s and mixed d oubles.
\n \nThe entry fee is $100 per team \, and 100% of each team&rsquo\;s registration fee will go directly toward United Way-funded program ming that serves 1 in 4 people in Hancock County.< /p>\n \n
Team captains will register both membe rs of their team \;and ensure that each have s igned their liability form prior to their first ma tch. They will also rate their team using the stan dards below\, ensuring a more fun and fair contest for all.
\n \nThe winning team takes bragg ing rights and a custom trophy made by our talente d neighbors at Kan Du Studio.

\n \nRating: Please utilize the following rating system to cate gorize your team:
\n \n2.0 = First time rs/new to the game
\n \n2.5 = Play ers have limited experience\, can sustain a short rally\, and are still learning all the rules.
\n \n3.0 = Players understand the fund amentals and basic rules\, as well as court positi oning. They can construct limited points. The game is typically social and casual instead of competi tive. More aggressive or athletic players might typically play at 3.5 - one level higher.
\n \n3.5 = Players know the difference between the hard and soft game. They c an get to the non-volley zone consistently and are beginning to understand the benefits of "\;st acking."\; They may have an unrelated sports b ackground that helps them learn new skills more qu ickly. Very athletic and/or aggressive pla yers often may play up one level at 4.0.< /em>
\n \n4.0 = Players are able to ide ntify and attack opponents'\; weaknesses\, are aware of their partner'\;s position on the cour t\, and are able to move as a team. They may have a related raquet sports background that helps them learn new skills rapidly.
