Days of Caring: Team/Individual Volunteer General Information

Welcome! Please read the information below about volunteering for Days of Caring, May 2021.

This year, United Way of Hancock County will host its weeklong service event, Days of Caring, May 3-7. We will hold a second Days of Caring this year, during the week of September 20.

We are looking for teams of corporate groups, service organizations, or even individuals...anyone who can lend a hand!

During Days of Caring, teams and individuals sign up for 4-hour time blocks (8am-12pm or 12pm-4pm) to complete their project(s). You can indicate on the Volunteer Team Registration or Individual Volunteer Registration form if certain days or time slots are better, if your team has any physical restrictions, or if you have a preference to help certain agencies or causes. While we can't promise a perfect match, we will do our best to make a great one.

This year, registration for volunteer teams and project requests will open on March 9. Deadline to register is April 9. UWHC will connect volunteer teams and agencies for final project planning on or before April 26.

Please review our Days of Caring: Guidelines for Volunteer Teams page to learn the role of a volunteer team leader, how to prepare for the event, and what will happen the day you volunteer.

Thank you!
